Board Approves 2025-26 Instructional Calendar

Keller ISD’s Board of Trustees unanimously approved the District’s 2025-26 Instructional Calendar at its Regular Meeting on December 19, 2024.

The 2025-26 school year starts August 13, 2025, and ends May 21, 2026.

Keller ISD will begin the year on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, with a three-day first week of school to allow teachers and students time to build relationships and establish routines for the new year. There will be four extended weekends throughout the year:

  • August 30-September 1
  • January 17-19
  • February 13-16 (four-day student weekend; teacher prep days)
  • April 3-6 (four-day student weekend; three-day employee weekend)

Fall Break will be held on October 13-17, 2025. Students will have a holiday, Friday, October 10, 2025, for a Parent-Teacher Conference Day, before the entire District closes October 13-17.

Thanksgiving Break will be held November 24-28, 2025. The first semester will conclude before the Winter Break, which will be held from December 22, 2025-January 5, 2026, for students. Employees will return from the Winter Break on Monday, January 5, for a Teacher Prep Day.

Spring Break will be held March 16-20, 2026. Students will have a holiday, Friday, March 13, 2026 before the entire District closes March 16-20.

The school year will end again before Memorial Day, concluding on Thursday, May 21, 2026. High School Graduations will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Dickies Arena.

The calendar includes banked minutes for two instructional days that might be lost due to bad weather, as the state requires. In the event that inclement weather forces the closure of a school, those banked minutes will be used instead of making up the day.
